About Us

Minto Road Puja Samity – A cherished dream of some likeminded Bengali enthusiasts was realized in its full vigour way back in the year 1940. Being one among the three oldest puja samities in Delhi, it has enjoyed its position witnessing myriad advancements; be it on its socio-cultural, literary or spiritual journey.

Seventy Seven years of celebrations, achievements and success mark its seasoned states a vertern samity. Its endeavours are endless. Both Delhi and NCR along with several other states of India and guests from abroad have bathed and basked in its warm torrents of charming customary styles and manners of celebrations, be it Durga Puja, Kaali Puja, Saraswati Puja, Annapurna Puja and so on…..

With the generous blessings of Maa Durga and Maa Kaali and love from all our esteemed well wishers and readers, we march on with honour into yet another decade; promising an equally colourful and a unique & enriching experience of the Bengali culture, tradition and heritage.

Durga Puja

Durga Puja at Minto Road Puja Samity pandal is a must visit. The traditional Durga Protima, Vibrant and Colorfully decorated Pandal, large scale distribution of Bhog prasad and traditional form of Puja at Minto Road are famous not only in Delhi but also in the neighboring states. Thousands of devotees throng the Minto Road Puja Mandap during the Durga Puja days, just to have a glimpse of Maa Durga and offer their puja to the Goddess. Minto Road Puja Samity has won awards, many a times, for its excellent Durga Puja Celebration.

Cultural Programmes held during the Durga Puja days at Minto Road is another attraction for the Pandal hoppers. Many renowned Artistes from Bollywood and Kolkata have performed at the Pandal of the Minto Road as a part of its Cultural Eveneing.

Kali Mandir

The Minto Road Kali Mandir is run by the Minto Road Puja Samity at the present venue where daily puja, Aarties are performed and Bhog Prasad are distributed to hundreds of devotees who visit the Mandir daily to offer prayers. Special pujas were also organized in the Mandir premises on the Amabasya and Purnima days. A beutiful ashto-dhatu idol of Goddess Kali is installed at Minto Road Kali Mandir, which attracts thousands of devotees from all over the place.

At Minto Road Kali Mandir, other religious festivals like Shivratri, Basant Panchami, Saraswati Puja, Annapurna Puja, Janmashtami, Holi etc. are also celebrated, in addition to Bhagwati Jagran during Navaratri (March/April).
